By submitting your photos to DIFTG, you retain full ownership of your work but agree to let us publish it for any purpose on either on our social media channels, in our monthly zine, or both (at your discretion). We will use the personal information entered on the attached form to credit you in every instance of our presentation of the photo(s). Typos happen, and we will do our best to correct them in a timely manner, but will not be held liable for damages occuring from any misspellings or printing errors. If you agree to let us post your photo on social media, it may be slightly cropped, and words like “Call for submissions” may be superimposed. Photos published in the zine are sometimes cropped ever so slightly to the nearest standard ratio (square, 4:5, 3:4, or 2:3).
By submitting, you guarantee that the photos are your own, and any identifiable individuals in said photos consent to their image being published. You also guarantee that you reside in Eastern Ontario or Western Quebec, excluding the areas of greater Toronto and Montreal.
Published images are presented as being available for purchase, however, this is at the photographer’s discretion following a request. When an interested party contacts us to buy a print, we will contact the photographer with the terms of sale and ask for their confirmation. If terms are agreed upon, the artist will receive 65-75% of the selling price after the sale is completed.
By using #doitforthegrain on Instagram, you agree to let us re-post your images in the form of stories, which may or may not be highlighted for extended viewing on our page.
